For years, Pebble mine proponents repeatedly claimed to have forthcoming plans. In the end, these claims were empty promises – leading Alaskans to believe they’d start a public review process, when they were truthfully waiting for the political winds to change in their favor. In 2010, frustrated with Pebble's lies, Alaskans asked the EPA for help protecting their salmon, businesses and way of life.
Throughout this time, the only thing stopping Pebble from the traditional review it claims to want was Pebble itself.
