president trump needs to hear from sportsmen and women across the country- pebble mine is the wrong mine in the wrong place.

Frequently referenced as the “Serengeti of Alaska,” the Bristol Bay region is one of the most sought after destinations for hunters and anglers. Every year, sportsmen and women flock to southwest Alaska to chase trophy rainbow trout and embark on their wildest big game hunts. In 2020, Bristol Bay is gravely threatened by the proposed Pebble mine, a copper and gold mining plan put forward by Canadian mining company Northern Dynasty Minerals. Read more about Pebble and what’s at stake in Bristol Bay.

Today, the proposed Pebble mine is the closest it has ever been to becoming a reality in Bristol Bay. At the end of the permit review process, which concluded that Pebble would permanently impact over 185 miles of streams and 3,600 acres of wetlands, the decision to grant or deny Pebble’s most important federal permit is in the upper-most hands of the Trump Administration, and could happen in the next few weeks. Hunters and anglers know that Bristol Bay is a sporting paradise, and not the right place for a massive copper and gold mine. Add your name below to tell the President to deny Pebble’s permit today.

THE PRESIDENT HAS A BIG DECISION TO MAKE IN 2020.

The politically diverse hunting and angling community is an important part of distinguishing Pebble as a uniquely bad idea in an incredibly special American region.

WHAT ELSE CAN YOU DO?

On Twitter? Tweet @RealDonaldTrump with something like:

I am a hunter/angler/outdoor enthusiast. Some places are too special for large-scale mining and #BristolBay, Alaska is atop that list. Please stop the permit for the Pebble mine this year.
